Maw and Co, neo classical ribbon and florets design
Maw and Co screen printed dust pressed tile with a border design of a ribbon and floral swags, gold on white, 6" x 4", c1955. This tile is marked on the back, 'Lundy SS228/Q REL' indicating Lundy Pattern, ref 228 in colourway Q, Round Edge Long - the tile has a rounded edge on one long side proably for use over the opening in a fireplace. It was cut from a 6" square tile before decoration.
