Hawes, Denny and Hargreaves, guilloche border design

Hawes, Denny and Hargreaves, sandwich plastic clay encaustic tile with a guilloche border design, blue and white inlaid in buff, 6" x 3", c1869. Two tiles were made at a time, as a 6" square and then cut before firing. This tile therefore has just half of the impressed mark visible on the back.
