W B Simpson & Sons Ltd., London

W B Simpson were a tile decorating company formed in the late 1840s at Clapham in London. Their early tiles were all on Minton Hollins and Co blanks, but they became agents for Maw and Co tiles some time in the 1870s. As well as selling Maws tiles, they also did a lot of specialised decoration on Maw tiles and undertook a number of prestigious projects, often ecclesiastical. The company continues today as a commercial tiling company.
