The Campbell Brick & Tile Co., Stoke, Staffordshire

The Campbell Brick and Tile Co was established in 1869 by Colin Minton Campbell following the notorious court case between him and Michael Daintry Hollins. The company manufactured a wide range of wall and floor tiles, but is best known for its range of encaustic tiles for churches and public buildings. They eventually became Campbell Tiles and merged with Maw & Co in 1963.
