Doulton & Co., Lambeth, London
Established in 1858 to manufacture salt glazed stoneware drainage pipes for sewers, the company was making art pottery and tiles by the late 1870s. Their output was small, but very 'artistic' and the company undertook many prestigious projects in tile, terracotta and faience. They produced few tiles in the 20th century.
