Started life as Hargreaves and Craven in 1870, then Hargreaves Craven Dunnill and Co in 1871/2, then Craven Dunnill and Co. Built a new factory on the old site at Jackfield, Shropshire, designed by Thomas Lynam. The company manufactured all types of tiles very successfully up to 1951 when they became a tile distribution company. Since 2000, the company has again been making tiles at the old tile works, both encaustic and dust-pressed wall tiles.
