Webb's Worce...

A form of lithographic printing. Lithography was invented by the German engraver Aloys Senefelder (1771–1834) in 1798: the printing surface is smooth, the printing and nonprinting areas being made grease-receptive and grease-repellent respectively. Greasy ink rolled over the entire area is taken up only by the grease-receptive areas; the ink is then transferred by rolling onto paper and this is then applied to the tile face.
